Expressive Youth exists to make the voice of the young people heard. That’s it. Posts will be from various and sundry authors, including myself. Respectful debate is good; insulting someone’s mother is not. The content discussed on this website will include but not be limited to drug use, sexuality, politics and religion–basically, everything you should avoid in any given social situation, because opinions have been labeled plusundoublethink if–heaven forbid–someone disagrees with those opinions. So, if you are made uncomfortable by differing viewpoints, you should probably leave. Expressive Youth will also careen wildly into philosophy, specifically love, life and everything in between.
I don’t have an Interweb pseudonym yet. I’ll figure it out. In any case, I’m a high school senior who’s tired of this repression of individual thought.
Rules of Expressive Youth
- Be nice to everyone. This space exists for intelligent, respectful debate and expression. If you’re here to mock, get a TV show.
- Any viewpoint is welcome. And I mean any. I want your opinions and I want people to see them. I want our thoughts and our beliefs to be valued, even if some of us can’t vote…yet.
